White Bear White Snow
Written and illustrated by Marta Rivera
Personal picture book project
White Bear White Snow is a poetic and visually evocative picture book. The story follows a polar bear as it spends the day waiting for night to fall in the vast, snowy Arctic landscape.
The narrative explores themes of patience, natural camouflage, and the bear’s deep connection to its surroundings, as other Arctic animals quietly cross its path. As the day unfolds and the light begins to fade, the bear slips into the cold water for a swim and ultimately witnesses the breathtaking bloom of the northern lights.
A celebration of stillness, slow movement, and the quiet majesty of the polar bear.
