Hey there, and welcome!

I’m Marta Rivera, an illustrator based in Madrid, Spain. Since I was little, drawing has been my way of exploring and understanding the world, and it’s something I’ve continued to do throughout my life. I create narrative, character-driven illustrations for editorial publications, children’s books, and commercial collaborations.

I studied Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid, where I developed my foundational skills and deepened my understanding of visual art. Later, I continued my education at the University of the Arts London (UAL), studying in the BA (Hons) Drawing program thanks to an Erasmus scholarship. This experience allowed me to immerse myself in the world of drawing in a diverse, international context, and helped develop my creative approach.

Returning to Madrid, I earned a Master’s in Graphic Design and Printmaking at the National Mint and Stamp Factory-Royal Mint House. This experience helped me refine my technical skills, learning engraving, and deepened my understanding of how design and illustration work together to tell powerful stories.
