Departure is a large-scale linocut measuring 540 x 920 cm, created using two ink colors. In this piece, I explore the theme of freedom in nature, capturing the moment when a Canada goose takes flight. I wanted to emphasize the interplay of air and space within the paper, creating a sense of expansiveness and freedom.

I’m honored that this artwork was awarded the Young Creators Prize by the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando in 2023 at the National Collection of Engravings contest.
